Each time the phone is turned on a Power On Self Test (POST) is performed.

If an error occurs, one of the following errors will be displayed:

CHECK 1 ESN checksum is incorrect

CHECK 3 Synthesizer did not achieve lock

CHECK 4 RF power status did not indicate an "on" condition

CHECK 8 STC Error

Program NAM checksum is incorrect

NAM Reprogram NAM !

Note: The display will show "CHECK" and the appropriate number.
