Phone Book
The SIM and the phone each have areas of memory used for storing names
and telephone numbers known as the Phone Book.
The phone can store up to 20 digits and 16 alphabet characters in each
of its 200 memory locations. The phone also supports SIM cards with
up to 255 memories but the actual number and capacity is dependent upon
the SIM itself. The phone and SIM memory locations are interconnected.
Both the SIM and the phone memories are searched when recall is requested.
Storing names and
telephone numbers
Names and numbers can be stored directly in the Phone Book or moved
from other stored areas such as SMS messages, scratchpad, or last
dialed number list, etc.
If you travel outside the U.S., it is advisable to store numbers
in international format using the '+' prefix before the country
code followed by the telephone number. This will ensure that international
numbers can be dialed from within your home country as well as abroad
(See page 13 for International dialing code numbers).
See page 29 for instructions on entering text.
